Oliver Hilton, male captain of Cheltenham Triathlon Club, came 10th in the Gloucester Triathlon that took place in Brockworth on Sunday, exactly the same position that he occupied last year. His time of 1 hour, 1 minute and 56 secondswas slower than last year but still earned him 8th place in the open category.

17 other members of Cheltenham Tri Club also completed the course, with varying degrees of success. Paul Wakefield was 3rd Veteran home in 01:03:08, with David Symes 7th in the same category in 01:06:17 and Simon Wintle 10th Vet in 01:07:35.

Sally Freeman was the first Cheltenham female home in a time of 01:13:53 (7th FOpen) with Elizabeth Haigh following her home in 01:19:45 (14th FOpen). Elaine Edgeworth was 4th female Supervet (over 50) and Mary Welsh was 5th in the same category in 01:33:57.

In the Male Supervet category (over 50s) Alan Champion came third in 01:09:16 with Anthony Lloyd 5th in 01:11:00.

Other Cheltenham finishers were Andy Monaghan (01:06:43 13th MO), Paul Dow (01:06:52 15thMO), Graham Johnston (01:10:40 16th MVet), John Wallace (01:15:23 43rd MO), Graham Beddis (01:18:06 16th MS-VET), Colin Watkins (01:21:49 21st MS-VET), and James Kearney (01:32:09 29th MS-VET).
